Welcome to Blue Gum (apartment 4) - a stylish two bedroomed apartment on Ocean Drive, Lake Cathie. Lake views and central to everything in the delightful coastal village.Tucked away from main road, private and quiet. All you need for a fantastic holiday with outdoors, cafes, eateries, Bowling Club, beach, lake, SUP hire a stone throw away. Leave the car at home! Full kitchen with dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine, quality cooking equipment and modern comforts for a carefree relaxing stay. Free WIFI, smart TV, Aircon in lounge, ceiling fans in bedrooms. Linen provided. Sorry no pets.

Apartment 4 is located at the end of Blue Gum low rise apartment complex. Walk up 5 steps outside to reach the apartment, and 6 internal steps from hallway to living room. Bedrooms are downstairs.
Upstairs features the open plan living, kitchen and dining, separate toilet and laundry with washing machine and dryer. Lounge room opens up to a spacious deck overlooking the lake.
Downstairs are the bedrooms and two-way bathroom with shower, bathtub, vanity, toilet. Garage access is also located on this level. The master bedroom has water glimpses, a king bed, ceiling fan, built-in wardrobe and access to bathroom. The second bedroom has a queen bed and single bunk bed and access to bathroom.

We use a rotating pantry in which you find all basics and more, so you do not have to take every single item! Kindly share and replace. Linen is provided, your beds are spread, so you do not have to do any chores upon arrival. Simply rock up and relax! Just bring your own beach towels.

How to reach the property

From Sydney/South: take the M1 towards Taree and Brisbane. Take the Kew exit, follow coastal route 10 towards Laurieton and Port Macquarie. At Laurieton go left and follow North Haven, Bonny Hills, Until you get to Lake Cathie, follow Ocean Drive before you get to the Bridge when you get to Melaleuca Ave turn left onto this street, then turn right at Kolora Place and Blue Gum is on the bottom right hand corner.

From Brisbane/North: take the M1 towards Taree and Sydney and take the Lake Cathie/Bonny Hills exit. Follow the Lake Cathie signs. In Lake Cathie follow Ocean Drive before the bridge you turn left onto Melaleuca Ave, then turn right at Kolora Place and the home is on the bottom right hand corner.

Security Deposit

To ensure our properties are treated fairly, guests are required to agree to abide by our House Rules by electronically signing our Registration Form regarding a Security Bond prior to arrival. The Security Bond for this property is: 300.00 AUD($) .

Booking Cancellation Policy


We understand things can happen beyond your control. We strive to work towards a satisfactory solution for all and will assess your situation and options available. Our general refund policy:

  • Grace period 24 hours  Cancellations within 24 hours of booking are free of charge for bookings made on our direct booking website*. 
  • Cancellations made up to 30 days prior to arrival are free of charge
  • Cancellations between 30 to 14 days prior to arrival incur a loss of deposit, generally 50% of the total rate of your booking. If we can secure a new booking for the dates that you cancelled we will refund your monies paid to date minus 25% of total booking fee as admin fee and any cost recovery charges for third party travel sites*.
  • Cancellations made within 14 days of arrival incur a loss of full payment. If we can secure a new booking we will refund your monies paid minus a 25% admin fee plus any cost recovery charges for third party travel sites and any discounts given to new guests to secure the new booking.
  • * Reservations made via third party on-line travel sites such as Airbnb,, Stayz may incur cost recovery charges for booking fees and commissions that these sites still charge us when you cancel.

  • COVID-19: If government introduces a travel ban, major events are cancelled which are out of your and our control we will assess your situation, automatically rebook you for a future date free of charge, or apply a more lenient cancellation rule, we refund 75% and keep 25% of total charge as admin cancellation fee. If you only made your booking recently since the outbreak of the virus you were aware of the risks


When booking with us you agree to our house rules. Common sense applies i.e. keep the property tidy upon departure, notify us of any damages, excess (cleaning) charges may apply when rules are not met.
