Renovated river cottage, sleeps 8. This is our family favourite getaway to North Haven aka Northy. The cottage has been in our family for generations, and now is the time to share it for you to enjoy too. The cottage is comfortable, bright and light, and filled with character. Bedrooms are large in size and all have wardrobe space. Coffee machine, dishwasher, air-con, smart TV, everything you need is here. Single level, only 2 steps to get into front door. Large garden. Linen provided. Sorry no pets.

LAYOUT
Single level cottage, about 3 steps to enter via front porch. Timber floors throughout. The bedrooms are located at the front of the cottage, the open plan dining, kitchen and lounge room are at the back of the cottage. A sliding door adjacent to the lounge area leads to the spacious fully fenced level back yard.

THE AREA
North Haven is a quiet coastal town on the NSW Mid North Coast near Port Macquarie. It’s known for its beaches, fishing, boating, surfing, and relaxed lifestyle. The town sits where the Camden Haven River meets the ocean, giving it strong holiday and outdoor appeal. North Haven beach is patrolled with a great cafe at the surf club. The beach is known by surfers for its clean waves, perfect rights of the break-wall and lefts all down the beach. The Northern side of the beach is the unleashed dog friendly beach, walk as far as you like all the way to Bonny Hills and take the bush trail back. Riverside walk from Camden Haven River to North Haven Beach and Dunbogan is straight across the road. The Camden Haven is a tidal river, the kids love walking to the sand banks at low tide. Great fishing, water sports.

FROM SYDNEY / SOUTH take the M1 North towards Newcastle/Taree/Brisbane. Take the Kew/Laurieton exit and start following coastal route 10. You will pass through Lakewood (big supermarket on your left), at Laurieton take a left towards North Haven/Bonny Hills/Port Macquarie. Go over North Haven bridge. Adeline St is the third street after the bridge. The house is on the right. FROM BRISBANE / NORTH: Take the M1 South til Lake Cathie/Bonny Hills exit, about 30km South of Port Macquarie. Follow the signs to Bonny Hills and keep driving on Ocean Drive till North Haven, take a right at the roundabout, continuing along Ocean Drive.Turn right at Adeline St (before the bridge). The house is on the right. Park and get the key from the lock box. You will receive the code via SMS on the day of arrival.

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

We understand things can happen beyond your control. We strive to work towards a satisfactory solution for all and will assess your situation and options available. Our general refund policy:

• Grace period 24 hours  Cancellations within 24 hours of booking are free of charge for bookings made on our direct booking website*. 
• Cancellations made up to 30 days prior to arrival are free of charge
• Cancellations between 30 to 14 days prior to arrival incur a loss of deposit, generally 50% of the total rate of your booking. If we can secure a new booking for the dates that you cancelled we will refund your monies paid to date minus 25% of total booking fee as admin fee and any cost recovery charges for third party travel sites*.
• Cancellations made within 14 days of arrival incur a loss of full payment. If we can secure a new booking we will refund your monies paid minus a 25% admin fee plus any cost recovery charges for third party travel sites and any discounts given to new guests to secure the new booking.

* Reservations made via third party on-line travel sites such as Airbnb, Booking.com, Stayz may incur cost recovery charges for booking fees and commissions that these sites still charge us when you cancel.

• COVID-19: If government introduces a travel ban, major events are cancelled which are out of your and our control we will assess your situation, automatically rebook you for a future date free of charge, or apply a more lenient cancellation rule, we refund 75% and keep 25% of total charge as admin cancellation fee. If you only made your booking recently since the outbreak of the virus you were aware of the risks
