Hamiltons is a two-storey house that easily caters to couples or families, in total 4 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. Sleeps 8 people maximum.

All of today's conveniences are abound like ample kitchen wares, decent pots and pans, gas cooktop, air fryer, Nespresso coffee machine. A kitchen fit for a chef! The pantry is well stocked with the basics and more for a care free stay.

Carport fits 2 cars; driveway fits 2 cars and free street parking. Note there is not a lot of street parking in this cul-de-sac. Please do not park on neighbours’ property.
Boats can be moored on the jetty at the house or stored in the garage. Launch your boat from McInherney Park boat ramp and motor to the private jetty. At low tide the water in the canal is about 7ft deep

Please note that the backyard is NOT fully fenced. The backyard adjoins the river.

Dogs are not permitted at the property. We have many other pet friendly accommodation options, please chat to us about your needs.

The house has books, In addition various outdoor toys can be used during your stay at your own risk.

The Port Macquarie area is all about the beach and outdoor lifestyle and gourmet, locally sourced fresh food. Enjoy the whales passing by during their migration from May-November.

No school groups, under 27 year old groups, bucks or hens parties, large loud adult groups, events.
Quite time from 10pm-7am, please keep our neighbours happy. . Guests that do not adhere to the house rules will have their full bond forfeited.

How to reach the property

OPTION 1 From Sydney/South: take the M1 towards Newcastle, Taree and Brisbane. Take the Port Macquarie exist, follow Oxley Highway towards town. After the race course (on your left) take a left into Clifton Drive, at the end of Clifton take a left onto Hastings River Drive, then take the first right into Newport Island Road (Solar shop on the corner and Settlers Inn Hotel and bottle shop on the opposite corner). Follow New Port Island road and take a left into Cornwallis Close, the house is on your left before the road turns.
OPTION 2 From Sydney and / Brisbane North: On the M1 take the Port Macquarie Hastings River Drive / Airport exit. Follow Hastings River Drive into town. Once you see the Thrifty on your left hand side slow down and take the first left into Newport Island Road (Settlers Inn Hotel and bottle shop on the corner and Telstra Business centre on the opposite corner). Follow New Port Island road and take a left into Cornwallis Close, the house is on your left before the road turns.

Please park on the driveway. Street parking is free. Please do not park on neighbour's properties, thank you!

To ensure our properties are treated fairly, guests are required to agree to abide by our House Rules by electronically signing our Registration Form regarding a Security Bond prior to arrival. The Security Bond for this property is: 2000.00 AUD($) .

Booking Cancellation Policy


We understand things can happen beyond your control. We strive to work towards a satisfactory solution for all and will assess your situation and options available. Our general refund policy:

  • Grace period 24 hours  Cancellations within 24 hours of booking are free of charge for bookings made on our direct booking website*. 
  • Cancellations made up to 30 days prior to arrival are free of charge
  • Cancellations between 30 to 14 days prior to arrival incur a loss of deposit, generally 50% of the total rate of your booking. If we can secure a new booking for the dates that you cancelled we will refund your monies paid to date minus 25% of total booking fee as admin fee and any cost recovery charges for third party travel sites*.
  • Cancellations made within 14 days of arrival incur a loss of full payment. If we can secure a new booking we will refund your monies paid minus a 25% admin fee plus any cost recovery charges for third party travel sites and any discounts given to new guests to secure the new booking.
  • * Reservations made via third party on-line travel sites such as Airbnb,, Stayz may incur cost recovery charges for booking fees and commissions that these sites still charge us when you cancel.

  • COVID-19: If government introduces a travel ban, major events are cancelled which are out of your and our control we will assess your situation, automatically rebook you for a future date free of charge, or apply a more lenient cancellation rule, we refund 75% and keep 25% of total charge as admin cancellation fee. If you only made your booking recently since the outbreak of the virus you were aware of the risks


When booking with us you agree to our house rules. Common sense applies i.e. keep the property tidy upon departure, notify us of any damages, excess (cleaning) charges may apply when rules are not met.
