KOOKAS NEST - Waterfront home tranquil setting, 4 beds, No Pets. Located opposite Gogley’s lagoon. Playground, park boat ramp and break wall straight across the road, a fisherman’s and paddle delight. Pilot Beach 5 minutes drive, North Haven surf break 10 minutes drive. Relax on the deck and take in the bird life. Comfortable home with aircon in lounge room, ceiling/wall fans in all bedrooms. Smart TV, free WIFI. Large hooded gas BBQ, Linen provided.


BEDDING AND LAYOUT
4 beds: 2 queen beds (master bedroom and second bedroom), 1x double/single bunk. Sleeps 7 people in total.
All bedrooms are located on the first floor. Master bedroom with ensuite. Main bathroom in hallway with vanity, shower and toilet. All bedrooms have ceiling fans.


THE SPACE
Two story house. UPSTAIRS: all living spaces are located on the first floor to take in the views, featuring a lounge and outdoor deck on one side and kitchen and dining on the other side. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms.
Downstairs features the entrance hall, large double lock up garage, internal storage space, BBQ area and large fully fenced yard. The front yards open on to the street.


STAIRLIFT FOR ELDERLY
An internal stair lift is available for guests that cannot climb stairs, so everybody can enjoy the tranquil water views from the first floor living spaces. Please notify us if you like to use the lift so we can unlock it for you.


NO PETS
Sorry, pets are not allowed. We have many other pet friendly holiday homes, please filter on ‘pet friendly’.


SURROUNDINGS
Kattang Nature Reserve is at the end of the street and provides beautiful headland hiking trails. Watch the whales migrate from May-Nov from Point P.
Dunbogan boat shed is 7 minutes by foot along the board walk and sells coffee and rents water sports devices.


PRICING
Base price is based on an occupancy of 4 guests. Extra guests pay an additional fee per person per night to cover extra laundry and cleaning, the booking system will automatically calculate the right price.

FROM SYDNEY/SOUTH and/or BRISBANE/NORTH take the M1 North towards Newcastle/Taree/Brisbane. Take the Kew/Laurieton exit and start following coastal route 10. You will pass through Lakewood (big Woolworth supermarket on your left), at Laurieton keep driving through Laurieton towards Dunbogan. Cross over the bridge to Dunbogan and then take a left onto The Boulevard and drive along the waterfront (on your left), the Boulevard goes over into Camden Head Road. When the road swerves to the right, you have arrived! The house is in the bent on the right hand side.
PARKING: please park on the driveway, the key for the garage is on the kitchen bench.
KEY LOCATION: the key lock box is located on the left hand side of the front door. You will receive the code via SMS on the day of arrival around 8.15am.

- Dunbogan Boatshed: A historic boatshed offering boat and kayak hire, as well as a café with scenic views of the Camden Haven River.
- Diamond Head: A nearby headland with walking trails leading to the top for panoramic views of the coastline and opportunities for whale watching during migration season.
- Washhouse Beach: A secluded beach accessible via a walking trail from Dunbogan, ideal for swimming and picnicking.
- Kattang Nature Reserve: Located near Dunbogan, this reserve offers bushwalking trails with coastal views and opportunities for birdwatching.
- Camden Haven River: Perfect for boating, fishing, kayaking, and paddleboarding, with several picnic spots along the riverbank.
- North Brother Mountain: A short drive from Dunbogan, offering walking tracks to the summit for stunning views of the region.
- Laurieton: Just a few minutes' drive from Dunbogan, Laurieton offers shops, cafés, and a cinema, as well as a scenic riverside location.

To ensure our properties are treated fairly, guests are required to agree to abide by our House Rules by electronically signing our Registration Form regarding a Security Bond prior to arrival. The Security Bond for this property is: 300.00 AUD($) .

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

We understand things can happen beyond your control. We strive to work towards a satisfactory solution for all and will assess your situation and options available. Our general refund policy:

• Grace period 24 hours  Cancellations within 24 hours of booking are free of charge for bookings made on our direct booking website*. 
• Cancellations made up to 30 days prior to arrival are free of charge
• Cancellations between 30 to 14 days prior to arrival incur a loss of deposit, generally 50% of the total rate of your booking. If we can secure a new booking for the dates that you cancelled we will refund your monies paid to date minus 25% of total booking fee as admin fee and any cost recovery charges for third party travel sites*.
• Cancellations made within 14 days of arrival incur a loss of full payment. If we can secure a new booking we will refund your monies paid minus a 25% admin fee plus any cost recovery charges for third party travel sites and any discounts given to new guests to secure the new booking.

* Reservations made via third party on-line travel sites such as Airbnb, Booking.com, Stayz may incur cost recovery charges for booking fees and commissions that these sites still charge us when you cancel.

• COVID-19: If government introduces a travel ban, major events are cancelled which are out of your and our control we will assess your situation, automatically rebook you for a future date free of charge, or apply a more lenient cancellation rule, we refund 75% and keep 25% of total charge as admin cancellation fee. If you only made your booking recently since the outbreak of the virus you were aware of the risks
