The surrounding bushland and nearby national park make it an ideal spot for birdwatching, with frequent sightings of black cockatoos and many other native species or simply relax with a book and listen to the surf and birds. Wake to views of Dooragan National Park (North Brother). Named after the local black cockatoos, Zanda was built as a holiday home by an owner whose family has loved the area for over 35 years. They now share this special place with guests who appreciate the region’s natural beauty, reflected in the home’s nature-inspired artwork.

THE SPACE / LAYOUT
Three bedrooms each with queen beds, built in robes with storage space and hangers. All bedrooms have USB ports either on the bedside lamps or on the head board. The open plan living and dining areas flow from the island bench style kitchen. Fully equipped kitchen with stove top and oven, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, Nespresso coffee machine. Two bathrooms, one being the ensuite to the master bedroom, the other has both a bath and a shower with separate toilet. Inside living area opens up into the undercover alfresco with outdoor setting and Weber BBQ. There’s a separate media room with smart TV. High ceilings, plantation shutters and reverse cycle AC throughout with DC fans in every room. Separate laundry with washing machine and dryer, laundry sink. Double garage with EV charger (SolaX). Driveway can accommodate 2 medium sized vehicles and there’s plenty of street parking. Front yard is landscaped while the back yard is ‘work in progress’ as a native garden. Fully fenced and gated. Clothes line tucked away on the side of the house. Full fibre NBN wifi. Pet friendly on request only.

THE AREA – BEACH, CAFES AND SHOPS
Dunbogan and the Port Macquarie area are all about the beach and outdoor lifestyle and gourmet, locally sourced fresh food. Enjoy the whales passing by during their migration from May-November.
Pilot Beach and Wash House Beach is a short drive. They are safe swimming beaches. The hike to Point Perpendicular is a round trip of 4kms from Camden Head Road. You can see blow holes and many wild flowers in season, and when lucky and spot migrating whales between May-Nov.
Laurieton is a short drive and is home to many great food spots. Try Grounded Espresso for a fresh coffee or Delizioso for an authentic Italian meal.
Laurieton and Camden Haven are small, easy going, coastal towns they have no traffic lights.
Port Macquarie CBD is 40 minutes drive, Port Macquarie airport 45-50 minutes drive

FROM SYDNEY/SOUTH and/or BRISBANE/NORTH take the M1 North towards Newcastle/Taree/Brisbane. Take the Kew/Laurieton exit and start following coastal route 10. You will pass through Lakewood (big Woolworth supermarket on your left), at Laurieton keep driving through Laurieton towards Dunbogan. Cross over the bridge to Dunbogan and then take a left onto The Boulevard and drive along the waterfront (on your left), the Boulevard goes over into Camden Head Road. Keep driving for about one kilometer until you see Scarborough Way on your right hand side, then Prince of Wales Drive on the left.
PARKING: Please park on the driveway.
KEY LOCATION: The key is in a lockbox. You will receive the code via SMS on the day of arrival around 8.15am.

- Dunbogan Boatshed: A historic boatshed offering boat and kayak hire, as well as a café with scenic views of the Camden Haven River.
- Diamond Head: A nearby headland with walking trails leading to the top for panoramic views of the coastline and opportunities for whale watching during migration season.
- Washhouse Beach: A secluded beach accessible via a walking trail from Dunbogan, ideal for swimming and picnicking.
- Kattang Nature Reserve: Located near Dunbogan, this reserve offers bushwalking trails with coastal views and opportunities for birdwatching.
- Camden Haven River: Perfect for boating, fishing, kayaking, and paddleboarding, with several picnic spots along the riverbank.
- North Brother Mountain: A short drive from Dunbogan, offering walking tracks to the summit for stunning views of the region.
- Laurieton: Just a few minutes' drive from Dunbogan, Laurieton offers shops, cafés, and a cinema, as well as a scenic riverside location.
- Kew: Another nearby town with attractions such as the Kew Historical Society Museum and the Kew Country Club.
- Crowdy Bay National Park: Located to the south of Dunbogan, this national park offers stunning coastal scenery, walking tracks, and beaches..

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

We understand things can happen beyond your control. We strive to work towards a satisfactory solution for all and will assess your situation and options available. Our general refund policy:

• Grace period 24 hours  Cancellations within 24 hours of booking are free of charge for bookings made on our direct booking website*. 
• Cancellations made up to 30 days prior to arrival are free of charge
• Cancellations between 30 to 14 days prior to arrival incur a loss of deposit, generally 50% of the total rate of your booking. If we can secure a new booking for the dates that you cancelled we will refund your monies paid to date minus 25% of total booking fee as admin fee and any cost recovery charges for third party travel sites*.
• Cancellations made within 14 days of arrival incur a loss of full payment. If we can secure a new booking we will refund your monies paid minus a 25% admin fee plus any cost recovery charges for third party travel sites and any discounts given to new guests to secure the new booking.

* Reservations made via third party on-line travel sites such as Airbnb, Booking.com, Stayz may incur cost recovery charges for booking fees and commissions that these sites still charge us when you cancel.

• COVID-19: If government introduces a travel ban, major events are cancelled which are out of your and our control we will assess your situation, automatically rebook you for a future date free of charge, or apply a more lenient cancellation rule, we refund 75% and keep 25% of total charge as admin cancellation fee. If you only made your booking recently since the outbreak of the virus you were aware of the risks

Common sense applies i.e. keep the property tidy upon departure, notify us of any damages, excess (cleaning) charges may apply when rules are not met.
