This is one of those places that when you open the front door and say out loud "bingo"! Wonderful home, spotlessly clean, spacious and comfortable, quiet location. 50 metre walk to the river, 200 metre walk to the beach (and a coffee shop on the way), what more could you want. If you're happy to stay 15 mins out of the heart of Port Macquarie, then I can't image you'll find a better place than this. The only reason I haven't given a perfect 10/10 on 'value for money' is because we came during an event weekend where prices get inflated. At regular rates this is absolutely 10/10. I can only hope we have the opportunity to come back some day.

Great location, unfortunately for us it rained almost the entire weekend so we couldn’t make the most of the location, hence why our overall experience was only rated an 8

This was an absolutely stunning house, beautifully decorated and luxuriously appointed. The location is superb. The house was spotless and incredibly comfortable. The place was a dream. I would definitely return and certainly recommend it to others.

Accommodation was good however could do with an air conditioning unit ion the main area for those hot afternoons , especially as the hallways can be blocked and the bedrooms have fans .WI FI was great Beds were comfortable and my family enjoyed our stay .The staff I dealt with were all brilliant .

We were so pleasantly surprised when we arrived and realised how close the lake was to the back of the house and how close the beach was. The photos don’t do it justice. One of the kids left their wallet behind and the staff have been so accommodating and helpful, arranging to send it back. Lake Cathie is a beautiful place.

We had a wonderful stay at Lakehouse. The house had everything we needed-clean, comfortable, amazing view of the lake at the back plus the awesome back deck. The rotating pantry meant we didn’t have to pack any essential cooking supplies for our trip and we cooked some great meals in the fully equipped kitchen. Susan and her team were easy to communicate with. Definitely will come back.

Convenient and close to everything. Lake being just at your doorstep was a bonus. Love the idea of use and refill and leave what you wanted different as you don't need to bring as much and can enjoy some home cooked meals. House was very warming and a family feel. We were able to use the canoes which my children loved
