'Apricari' means to embrace the sun for relaxation and pleasure. And that is exactly what you will do here. Wake up to spectacular ocean views and sounds, watch the whales from the deck, hear the black cockatoos and just unwind. Unspoilt beaches, great surf, hiking trails, mountain bike tracks, kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing, golf, koala art, wine tasting; all within easy reach.

Shelly beach is just 50meters away or a 2 minute stroll. Bartlett or 'little beach' 5 minutes walk, Sharkies 10-15 minutes walk via the headland loop, and Rainbow patrolled beach 10-15 minutes walk. Or hop on a bike or in the car and you are there in no time. Or just simply relax on the verandah, in the garden or on the lounge.

Apricari is a two story house that easily suits two families with its 4 bedrooms, rumpus room and 3 bathrooms. With its two levels it is big enough to accommodate up to 8 people and yet cosy enough to also cater to 2-4 people

The house breathes good vibes with its modern and comfortable interior style that makes you instantly feel at home. All of today's conveniences are abound (free WIFI, smart TV's with internet, Netflix, 3D DVD player, Stereo system, USB charge points, modern appliances, drip coffee machine and plunger, high quality fresh linen, well stocked pantry for a care free stay. You will find a fully functioning house with proper furniture. Extra drinks fridge in garage available.
Rumpus room has office desks and TV.
Table tennis table is located in garage, not in rumpus room (e.g. photo is not correct, we have a desk in rumpus room instead now)
Fresh food and green lovers, please treat yourself to the herb garden and citrus trees.

Pets are allowed with pre-approval from owner. Note the yard is not fully fenced. Dogs to be kept outdoors on verandah, in garden and in down stairs in rumpus if you are out. Pets are not allowed on beds and lounge. Just chat to us about your needs. The gate in the back garden enters onto the headland reserve which is easy for dogs to stroll around. Great hiking trails are accessible straight from the house to dog friendly beaches. Please note the yard is not fully fenced and opens up to the road.

Single garage space and drive way parking, free street parking. Please note one side of the garage is used for storage, you can store bikes, surf boards etc.

Apricari caters to families only, strict no party policy applies, hence:

How to reach the property

FROM SYDNEY / SOUTH take the M1 North towards Newcastle/Taree/Brisbane. Take the Kew/Laurieton exit and start following coastal route 10. You will pass through Lakewood (big supermarket on your left), at Laurieton take a left towards North Haven/Bonny Hills/Port Macquarie.
In Bonny Hills when you reach the 50km zone, take a right into Third Avenue, at the end go left (no other choice) in to 4th Ave, first right, another right into Banksia Ave, then first left into Honeysuckle road, the house is the 3rd house on your right.

FROM BRISBANE / NORTH: Take the M1 South til Lake Cathie/Bonny Hills exit, about 30km South of Port Macquarie. Follow the signs. Once in Bonny Hills keep following Ocean Drive, once you pass the caravan park on the top of the hill, take the 2nd left into Jordan Ave. Keep following the road along the headland it goes right and is now called Honeysuckle Road, keep driving and take another right, the house is on your left hand side 4th house.

Security Deposit

To ensure our properties are treated fairly, guests are required to agree to abide by our House Rules by electronically signing our Registration Form regarding a Security Bond prior to arrival. The Security Bond for this property is: 300.00 AUD($) .

Booking Cancellation Policy


We understand things can happen beyond your control. We strive to work towards a satisfactory solution for all and will assess your situation and options available. Our general refund policy:

  • Grace period 24 hours  Cancellations within 24 hours of booking are free of charge for bookings made on our direct booking website*. 
  • Cancellations made up to 30 days prior to arrival are free of charge
  • Cancellations between 30 to 14 days prior to arrival incur a loss of deposit, generally 50% of the total rate of your booking. If we can secure a new booking for the dates that you cancelled we will refund your monies paid to date minus 25% of total booking fee as admin fee and any cost recovery charges for third party travel sites*.
  • Cancellations made within 14 days of arrival incur a loss of full payment. If we can secure a new booking we will refund your monies paid minus a 25% admin fee plus any cost recovery charges for third party travel sites and any discounts given to new guests to secure the new booking.
  • * Reservations made via third party on-line travel sites such as Airbnb,, Stayz may incur cost recovery charges for booking fees and commissions that these sites still charge us when you cancel.

  • COVID-19: If government introduces a travel ban, major events are cancelled which are out of your and our control we will assess your situation, automatically rebook you for a future date free of charge, or apply a more lenient cancellation rule, we refund 75% and keep 25% of total charge as admin cancellation fee. If you only made your booking recently since the outbreak of the virus you were aware of the risks


When booking with us you agree to our house rules. Common sense applies i.e. keep the property tidy upon departure, notify us of any damages, excess (cleaning) charges may apply when rules are not met.
