Jungarra Crescent has a pharmacy and cafe and Bonny View Store is a convenience store with takeaway store.
Lake Cathie heart with cafe's, restaurants, tavern, and shopping centre is 8 kilometres down the road. Lake Cathie is a small, easy going, coastal town and has no traffic lights.

This cottage is one of the original 5 cottages built back in 1955 following the dredging and creation of the channel and break-wall in the 1940's. The property is built from local hardwoods and has stood the test of time, having never flooded - including surviving the infamous 1962 and March 2021 floods. The original cottage has received the necessary TLC that now provides that now provides a perfect old-school beach and fishing shack getaway with all the modern comforts of today.

Patrolled Rainbow beach, surf break, shops and and restaurants are 5-10 minutes walk or 2 minutes drive. Jungarra Crescent (240m) has a pharmacy and cafe and Bonny View Store (700m) is a convenience store with takeaway store.
Lake Cathie heart with cafe's, restaurants, tavern, and shopping centre is 8 kilometres down the road. Lake Cathie is a small, easy going, coastal town and has no traffic lights.

THE AREA
Mikahs is one of the traditional beach houses that were built in the 1950’s on the Bonny Hills headland, the house has provided many great memories to holiday makers since. And you might be next to enjoy this magical place! The house has received several updates since its original build, including a kitchen renovation and studio extension.

The location is superb. Bartletts Beach aka Little Beach is one block way, 2 minutes walk, a protected beach for small children. Spoonys Bay is located through a lovely bush track about 5 minutes walk as well as Shelly Beach in the other direction, both have great rock pools at low tide, ideal for collecting shells with the kids. Patrolled Rainbow Beach, with its Surf Break is 5-10 minutes walk or 2 minutes drive. Grant Heads reserve loop bush walking trails is a local delight too.

The local coffee shop is at the end of the street and also sells fresh bread and local fruit and veggies. Top shop general store, takeaway, bottle shop, petrol station is 10 minutes walk or 2 minutes drive. Larger supermarkets in Laurieton and Lake Cathie are 5-10 minutes drive. Port Macquarie CBD and Airport 25 minutes drive door to door.

THE SPACE
This has been our family holiday home for more than 30 years and we are happy to share it with you when we do not use it ourselves. Upstairs features open plan living, dining and kitchen area with water views. Kitchen has a ceramic hotplate and Nespresso coffee machine. Down the hallway are 3 bedrooms, bathroom and toilet .
Downstairs is accessible via the outdoor front stairs and has an overflow bedroom with a double bed and single bunks, perfect for the teenage retreat. Outside off the back deck is a separate laundry building with second bathroom with toilet and shower, washing machine and dryer.
The back yard is fully fenced, has an outdoor entertaining area partly covered, two sun loungers, large hooded Weber BBQ, and green level yard.


SURROUNDINGS
Local cafés and shops are just a short drive away. Many rock oysters are farmed in the area, get the freshest seafood from the local fish Coop.
Kattang Nature Reserve is at the end of the street with beautiful headland hiking trails, blow holes, view wild flowers in season and watch the whales migrate from May-Nov from Point Perpendicular. Collect shells from rock pools at Washhouse Beach and enjoy incredible sunset coloured skies.
Pilot beach is a great swimming beach, also for laps as it is shelted. North Haven beach is patrolled in summer.
Surf beaches are 10 minutes drive, try North Haven, Rainbow Beach in Bonny Hills and Middle Rock surf break in Lake Cathie


PARKING
Parking is available on the driveway. Free street parking. The lock up garage is in use by the owners for storage and is not accessible to guests. Plenty of room for a boat in the driveaway, boat ramp is 5 minutes drive.
